The Great Clickish Bake Off Raises £300 for the Stroke Association!

Last weekend, the Clickers strapped on their aprons and took to their kitchens, creating baking masterpieces in aid of a wonderful cause.

The Great Clickish Bake Off was held yesterday, giving staff the opportunity to show off their culinary talents in a competition to find the best baker at Click Dealer. The bakes, which included cakes, bread, shortbread, meringues and tiffin were a sight to behold and even more enjoyable to taste!

The purpose of the event was to raise funds for The Stroke Association. In the UK alone, 100,000 strokes occur every year, and this charity was established to help prevent the life-threatening condition and to support survivors.

The Stroke Association relies on public funding to deliver crucial support services to those who have suffered from a stroke and to conduct research to improve treatments that could save lives.

To judge our Bake Off, we were lucky to have representatives from the charity here to taste every bake and rate each, based on presentation and taste. Prizes were given for the best-looking, the best-tasting and the overall best bake.

The winners were later announced by Click Dealer Managing Director, Gerry Moxham, who thanked everyone who participated with a generous donation.

The bake acclaimed as the best-looking, was a citrus cake, beautifully designed to look like a roundabout, with Click Dealer’s logo in the centre. This was made by Customer Care Executive, Danni.

Our newest team member, Junior Content Writer, Celine sweetened the judges with her delicious lemon drizzle cake, taking the trophy for best-tasting bake.

But the overall winner was Jen, from our Technical Development team, whose Halloween-themed tiffin monsters stole the show!

After the winners were congratulated, the Clicker’s creations were sold, leaving us all painfully full, but immensely proud to have succeeded in raising £300 for the fantastic charity.
