For episode 47 of Meet the Clickers, we’ve completed a hat-trick of Jamie’s! Mr Botham has taken his place in the hot seat this week, it’s about time I found out more about his Kim K comment…
I’d just left school and knew I wanted to do something different, rather than jump straight into a full-time job, I instead opted for an apprenticeship through Babington. Taking this job was the best decision I’ve made!
How has your job changed since you joined us?
I’ve always been based in Customer Care, but throughout my time I’ve been to other teams to develop a greater understanding of each department and the work that goes on. In my current role, I’ve been able to progress quickly, taking on more responsibilities which I love! It’s so easy to move your way up thanks to the endless amounts of training we have available.
What activity should have its own dedicated tv channel?
I’d love to see a dedicated channel to video games, particularly Call of Duty! There’s already a huge audience on YouTube, so moving it to TV seems like a logical step really. They’d develop an even greater fan base and it’d make far more money!
Would you like to explain the infamous Kim K comment?
It all came from my ‘Meet the New Clicker’ interview, I was asked who my role model is, and I said Kim Kardashian! When you think about it she’s the perfect person though, a self-made millionaire with a great brand! Unfortunately, not everyone saw it that way and the name has stuck…
James Smith loves Kim too, although I think he wants to be her for different reasons… What would you like to know more about?
I’d love to understand more about making money. It seems people are always finding new tricks to make millions and I think it’s time I did the same!
Can you cook sausages on a radiator?
Haha, who told you about that?! From personal experience though I can confirm it is possible! For those doubters out there, I’m still here aren’t I?
Hmm, think I’ll stick to the oven for now… Who’s a regular feature on your playlist?
I listen to a lot of Witt Lowry, he’s a rapper from America and I really like his work. I’ve got a lot of Eminem in there too; his old stuff, naturally!
I heard you’re fond of a takeaway, what’s your favourite?
There’s a place down the road from me called ‘Piccolo’s pizza’, I’m in there at least 4 or 5 times a week! I always get margarita pizza and chips from there. 12” with two large chips, that sorts me and my girlfriend out nicely!
I’m not sure if I’m impressed or disgusted. If you could be any age forever, what would it be?
I’d say 21, there isn’t too much that can get in your way past that age and at least you’re not quite old enough to have the full responsibilities of an adult then!
What’s your favourite video game of all time?
Definitely Black Ops 4, it’s not been out that long but I love it already! I even took a few days off last week, so I could get into it properly…
I still need to try it out, I’ve heard good things though! If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
After my comments about my pizza addiction, could I really say anything else? It’d definitely be Piccolo’s margarita pizza! There’s nothing that can compare.
It’d be a boring existence… What do you love most about working at Click?
It has to be the people. Everyone gets their head down and does their job, but you can also have a great laugh and I don’t think you get that at many other places. People say their companies are like a family, but I genuinely believe that at Click.
Customer Care is a great department to work in; it’d be better if Ben Wood didn’t go on about Vale all the time though! The sooner they get relegated the better…
That’s great Jamie, thanks very much! You’re right about Ben too!
