Our Product Team play a vital part in shaping the future roadmap for Click Dealer, helping us achieve our goal as a true performance partner. Our team are the voice of the customer – which could be internal colleagues, our dealership partners, third parties, or other stakeholders.

Our Product Owners/ Product Managers oversee the whole product lifecycle for both new product development (NPD) and existing products. You will work to understand what the customers’ and markets’ requirements are, what solutions are practical and valuable to pursue, and what development is needed to help us to achieve our vision, mission, and goals.

Our Product Team help drive projects and small changes forward to ensure our technology products and features meet with our strategy and vision, and are aligned to our business and technology roadmap. You will work as part of the wider Product Team to research and deliver solutions of value.

We’re looking for someone with at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a B2B SaaS company. You will use your experience, knowledge, and understanding to help support the team, implement new processes and procedures, and shape the future of the Product Team.

Responsibilities

Maintain a continuous view of our products’ performance and review them throughout their lifecycle to help Click maintain a market leading position.

  • Review product performance and uptake
  • Work with the Projects Team to perform competitor research and future trend reviews to understand maturity of existing product and position in the market place
  • Understand requirements for discontinuation and replacement management
  • Review opportunities for product enhancements and next gen development to maintain or increase product penetration

Take an active role in idea generation and managing the idea backlog to prioritise activities that help us to achieve our vision, mission, and purpose.

  • Work as part of the wider Product Team to conduct competitor research and market analysis to identify where there are opportunities and potential risks for Click Dealer.
  • Keep abreast of legistaltive and regulatory changes which may impact Click Dealer and/ or our customer base. Understand what development work, if any, may be needed to accommodate for these changes.
  • Conduct customer outreach to understand the processes, requirements, and problems our customers (and potential customers) have.
  • Using the research conducted, develop business cases for future products or enhancements to help address these risks/ opportunities
  • Work with the wider Product Team to produce documentation for each product idea
  • Review feature requests and the ideas backlog to understand which are being taken forward, maintain a healthy backlog, and clearly communicate decisions with interested parties
  • Conduct SWOT and PESTLE analysis to provide the business with key background information to help when reviewing ideas.

Oversee the new product development (NPD) process, and work closely as part of the wider Product Team, to ensure we’re delivering projects of value that meet the agreed requirements.

  • Identify internal and external stakeholders and work with the relevant parties to elicit, capture, and prioritise requirements to define the scope for delivery.
  • Create a Software Requirements Specification (SRS) document for each new development to record the goal, requirements, expectations, functionality, and success criteria to deliver a clear set of requirements for business sign off ahead of development.
  • Write user stories and define acceptance criteria for the initiative. Work with the development delivery teams where relevant to ensure the stories are broken down into acceptable issues facilitating acceptance into a sprint.
  • Work with stakeholders to keep track of current progress and understand any movement in agreed timescales for delivery and any potential risks to the project to communicate these back to the business.
  • Liaise with third parties and support with the development of positive partner relationships.
  • Work as part of the wider Product Team to gather information from the end user, dealer, and internal stakeholders as required throughout the product development process and beta phase to ensure the product is meeting the agreed criteria and usability.

Work with the wider Product Team to support with the roll out of new releases to deliver a smooth and successful product launch.

  • Provide clear and consistent communication around the delivery timescales and status of each project.
  • Provide documentation and demonstrations to key stakeholders and the wider business as needed
  • Provide product and business knowledge to support Product Marketing with the launch of new solutions, as well as assisting the commercial and customer facing teams with the sale of the product, managing queries around the product and its functionality, and obtaining feedback about the success of the product.
  • Agree success criteria based on the SRS Document and report on the outcomes at agreed intervals during and post launch.

 Build relationships and manage the flow of communication around products.

  • Attend sprints, sprint reviews, planning & refinement sessions, retrospectives as required.
  • Work with key stakeholders to obtain relevant input around products.
  • Support with troubleshooting of issues – liaising between customer facing teams and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to the NPD process and its implementation to ensure goals are understood and followed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the Engineering team
  • Implement processes to help improve efficiency across the Product Team

About you

 Essential

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Product Manager/ Product Owner role
  • Experience managing product development and delivery of B2B SaaS products
  • Understanding of Agile Methodolgies
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to maintain professional and respectful relationships in challenging situations
  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders (internal and external, including customers and third parties) both in person and via phone/ Teams/ email.
  • Experience managing product roll outs from ideas through to launch
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to gather information and understand the key points to help scope out the requirements and needs of a new product
  • Customer orientated with a passion for delivering solutions
  • Be willing to learn and undertake training as required

Our office
Winton House, Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 2RW – close to bus and rail links. Whilst we can support working from home if you wish, you would need to be comfortable commuting into the office at least one day per week and additionally when needed.
