Meet the Clickers – Helen Lockett

Welcome back to episode 26 of Meet the Clickers!

This week making her Meet the Clickers debut is another one of our newer recruits, part-time comedian and full-time Customer Care Executive, Helen!

Hi Helen! Great to catch up mate. How are we doing? Could you tell us when you joined Click Dealer and how it came about?

“Hi Joe, I’m great thanks how are you? I joined Click at the beginning of November 2017, my friend Kate told me there was a position available and I was offered an interview on Halloween haha..

I came in and was interviewed and Pippa basically gave me cake and offered me the job! Whooohoooo!”

Can you remember what your first week was like at Click, how did it go?

“I was so excited to start and my first week whizzed by, it was great, although I never thought I’d get to grips with the DMS haha. Luckily everyone here made me feel part of the Click family so I settled in really quickly.”

Now, you’re not the first Clicker to have this, but apparently you have an unhealthy obsession with Bon Jovi? How many times have you actually seen them and why on earth are you so obsessed with the American natives?

“I’m an 80’s chick and I love rock music, so I’ve been going to see them live since then, I lost count of how many times when it went over 30 concerts. I just loved them live so much. My only gripe is with the song ‘Livin on a Prayer’ it’s so over played and they have made many much better songs. I’ve seen loads of other bands too though.”

Who has impressed you most with what they’ve accomplished and why?

“I think it has to be our own Gerry Moxham, taking an idea that he had a few years ago and getting to the point he’s at now is a fabulous achievement, and we all have a great place to come to work every day because he went for it!”

What’s worth spending more on to get the best?

“Shoes and brandy.”

Great stuff. You can blame your good friend Katie Pemberton for this next question, could you explain your phobia of Polos?

“Omg! She is in big trouble for this! I absolutely detest them, they make my skin crawl I could be physically sick, even the packet makes me cringe and lets not mention the smell! Kate Pemberton has played a few tricks on me over the years with the vile things!!! Also I need to speak to HR because sometimes when I’m on lunch my, so called friends, change the Trello screen to the horrible, dirty, disgusting items!”

What movie title best describes your life?

“Well Chelsea says its ‘Snow White and the seven Dwarfs’ and Ben Wood say it’s ‘the Borrowers’ no prizes for guessing why.”

If you could meet anyone, living or dead (bar Bon Jovi), who would you meet and why?

“I think it would probably be Grace Kelly, I love her films and I imagine her to have been a lovely person, if it was now though Tom Hanks I love all his films, o’rate Tom fancy half a lager top down pub? Hahaha”

Why did you decide to do the work you are doing now?

“Well for the biggest part of my working life I have been in the hair and beauty business, that’s how I met Kate 17 years ago,  when we both worked in a large town centre salon. Anyway I decided I needed a new completely different type of job and started to work in a call centre, it was ok but not really what I wanted, then Kate rang me and said did I want to come for an interview at Click and the rest, as they say, is history.”

Lastly, what is it about working at Click that you love the most?

“We all say the exact same I know, but I love each and every one of my work mates. They are all friendly and always willing to help if you get stuck with anything, and Gerry, Pippa and Oli make us all feel like part of their extended family ?”
