5 Star Reputation – Digital Experts for Independent Dealers

Meet the Clickers – Jake Booth

Welcome back to episode 27 of Meet the Clickers!

To get the first Bank Holiday weekend of May started, I caught up with film fanatic and sales extraordinaire, Jake Booth!

Hi Jake! How are we mate? Good to catch up. Could you tell the readers at home a bit about your start to Clicker life?

“I’m good mate thanks! I started back in 2016 as part of the Sales team. My interview for Click was with Lee and Pip R and I had no idea they were a married couple! It was an interesting moment, I feel like as soon as Lee found out I was a PC gamer and Pip R discovered I keep snakes I had it in the bag! All in all, it was a cracking day!”

Great stuff! Your job title is Business Development Manager, could you tell us what this involves on a day-to-day basis?

“Historically I have been responsible for dealing with new enquiries and getting dealers setup with Click, demonstrating our services etc. Recently I have moved my focus to helping our existing dealers get the most from Click Dealer by taking them through some of our latest advances like ClickEngage™  and Search Engine Marketing.”

Now, I know you’re a massive film fan so I’m going to put you on the spot here. What are your three favourite films of all time and why?

“That’s an impossible question! But I will have a go!

  1. The Matrix – I dread to think how many times I have watched this film, it’s an absolute masterpiece – amazing soundtrack, stupidly good fighting choreography and the concept was just groundbreaking at the time of release! Some revolutionary filming techniques developed in the making of it as well.
  2. Kill Bill (1 & 2 in one sitting!) – Best film ever. Amazing stunts, martial arts, acting, dialogue – has everything you need!
  3. There Will Be Blood – I don’t really know how to explain this one you just need to watch it! Daniel Day-Lewis is just totally ruthless in this movie! Absolute classic.”

What is the best concert you have ever attended?

“Again, hard to say, it’s probably a tie between ‘Rage Against the Machine’ and ‘System of a Down’. Both at festivals and were just incredible to watch live, very loud and very messy!”

If you could invite three people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would it be and why?

“Jim Morrison – He is an absolute legend and the definition of cool.

David Bowie – See above.

Keanu Reeves – Just a total dude.”

You’re a big animal fan and The Clickers know you have an extensive range of pets at home. Could you tell us what exactly you have and, do you have a favourite?!

“Dante the Alsatian x Presa– My favourite, no problem saying that.

Beatrix the Royal Python

O-Ren the Milksnake

David Boa the Boa Constrictor

Piccolo the Bearded Dragon

Leeroy the Goldfish

Alfonse the Goldfish

Special mention to the lost – Peula, Wesley & Lenny (Best cats ever) – R.I.P”

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor and why?

“Easily my Dad – best bloke on the planet.”

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?

“Buy my partner whatever she wanted, buy my Mum and Dad whatever they wanted, buy my little bro whatever he wanted. Then if there was any left over for me I would buy some land, build a massive garage and fill it with an obscene number of cars. I would also build my own forge/workshop and become a blacksmith.”

What’s the hardest thing you have ever done?

“I think I would have to say finishing High School – absolutely hated every second of it.”

Lastly, what do you love most about working at Click?

“I have never worked anywhere that supports their staff like Click does, it’s actually a little creepy how much they care. Lee and Pip R have been a huge help to me both in and out of work, can’t thank them enough for their support.”

Cracking stuff Jake! Thanks for taking part in Meet the Clickers and making yet another enjoyable episode for the readers at home.
