Click Dealer Director Set to Get in the Ring in Aid of Leighton Hospital’s Ward 17!

Click Dealer Director and Head of Customer Care, Pippa Rawlinson, is set to swap the safety and comfort of her usual office environment for the blood, sweat and tears of the boxing ring in March, as she fights in a charity white-collar bout in aid of Leighton Hospital’s Ward 17!

The fight will take place at Stoke City’s Bet365 Stadium on 24th March 2018 and Pip will be assigned to box somebody of a similar stature in terms of weight, ability, fitness and age, with the official weigh in taking place just one week prior to the event where Pip will find out her opponent and have face off photos taken.

Why is Pip Boxing?

Pip has decided to box in the event as part of Click Dealer’s ongoing charity fundraising drive in aid of Leighton Hospital’s Ward 17. This is an especially emotive charity campaign for Pip as her son Jude was successfully treated by the ward in March for Meningitis.

Speaking ahead of her second P/T session Pip said: “I am absolutely terrified! Everyone is saying I must be mad to do this but it’s for such an amazing cause, which is really close to my heart, so it’s definitely worth the pain!

“If I can show even 10% of the fight that Jude showed when he was poorly, I know I’ll be just fine in that ring. I’m training hard and am determined to give it my best shot in front of my family, friends and fellow Clickers!

“The main thing is that we raise plenty of money for the ward so that they can continue their amazing work and help other children in the same way that they helped Jude.”

Training to be a Boxer!

Whilst Pip is already getting in shape with her former army husband and Click Dealer Head of Sales, Lee Rawlinson, as well as with a personal trainer, her full training camp is set to begin on 29th January 2018. During this period, she’ll be put through her paces by specialist boxing coaches for eight weeks in preparation for the big night!

The training sessions are designed to build fitness and according to Ultra White Collar Boxing who are staging the event and providing the training: “It’ll change her life drastically, including a vast improvement in nutrition, overall health, fitness and general well-being.”
