Click Dealer Supports Aura and Dougie Mac

For the last 18 months, Click Dealer have been supporting two local charities – Dougie Mac and Aura. But who are they and how can you help?

Aura

Aura was set up to support people affected by changes within their lives that have a negative impact on their mental health.  The founder, Gemma, was inspired to set up the charity after a traumatic event happened to a close family member.  She found there was little support available, including for the person affected and those around them who also suffered.

Aura is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) – providing safe, ethical, and professional counselling services.  They also provide workshops, groups, and emotional support to people, particularly within the Cheshire East and Staffordshire areas.

Share the news

Raising awareness for this new charity is so important.  They want to get the word out there about what they’re doing so that people can get in touch if they are looking for support, want to arrange a wellness class for friends or a workplace, or want information about the free drop in sessions.

You can raise awareness by liking and sharing their Facebook page, talking about them to others, and getting involved in fundraising activities.

Dougie Mac

The Dougie Mac have been caring for the community since 1973, providing all hospice services free of charge to over 3,500 local people with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages, also offering supportive care to their families and carers.

They provide services for adults, young adults, and children.  The Dougie Mac help adults living with cancer and non-cancer life-limiting illnesses such as advanced heart failure, Dementia, motor neurone disease and incurable lung diseases.  For families facing the heart-breaking knowledge that they will almost certainly outlive their child; they provide specialist care and support services for children with life-shortening conditions, due to illness or injury, from birth until they no longer need us.
