Click Dealer’s Gerry Moxham to Run CDX Workshops!

On May 21st and 22nd, Click Dealer will be hosting multiple workshops at CDX 2018, Europe’s largest automotive expo, run by the publishers of Car Dealer magazine. The annual conference consists of educational and inspirational workshops, seminars, car dealer live stage sessions and keynote speakers and it is completely free to attend. It will be Click’s first appearance at the event.
Click Dealer’s own managing director, Gerry Moxham, will be leading a workshop for dealers, entitled: ‘Affecting the Consumer Journey – How to Influence Buyer Behaviour’. It will investigate the consumer journey, from the initial trigger point which provokes an individual to consider changing their car, to the point of purchase, and all of the research and influences which take place in between.
In the workshop, which encourages audience participation, Gerry will examine the ways in which car dealers can affect the purchase process and why it is so important to do this as early as possible. He will also discuss key themes, including local optimisation, portal leads and customer retention.
According to Gerry, if we break the customer journey down, we can begin to understand why people make certain decisions, and once we get to grips with that, we can start to see how these decisions can actually be shaped to support the customer.
He explains, “We’ve seen a significant amount of change and evolution in the industry, and what we’re seeing now is that the consumer journey is changing. There are a lot of things influencing this that aren’t necessarily about selling cars.”
“Some dealerships don’t fully understand the consumer journey today and what’s driving it, and we’ve got a lot of insight”, he adds. Our workshop is for those dealers who want to gain a better understanding of consumers’ thought processes and behaviours and improve lead generation and sales performance. Independent dealers and franchises alike are welcome.
The main purpose of Click Dealer’s workshop at CDX is to show delegates that the purchase process is not just about the consumer, and that the dealer can also have a significant impact on it. It aims to get individuals thinking about the effect they can have on consumer decisions, and incorporates analogies, case studies and a creative, interactive session to engage the audience and initiate thought-provoking discussion.
Gerry says, “It’s important that this part of the presentation is about giving dealers some simple things to take away that aren’t to do with technology. We’re not bothered whose customer you are or what platforms you use, here are some simple things that you can do tomorrow that will make you more aligned with that buyer behaviour and how you can start to influence and support it.”
He has commented: “We’re looking forward to it. We feel very privileged that we’ve been given an opportunity to have a workshop event and we’re confident that we’ll do a good job.”
CDX will be held at Manchester Central Convention Complex, there will be multiple staging’s of Gerry’s workshop over the two-day exhibition, so keep an eye out for specific timings and if you are interested in seeking us out for a chat, Click Dealer will be based on stands C30 and A31.
