In this months meet the clicker we talk to Sales Executive, Emily and find out more about her role at Click and her adrenaline junkie side.
Tell us how you started start at Click Dealer?
I started off as an apprentice with the stock copy team, moved to Customer Care and later decided I wanted to try something different and liked the look of Sales. I had never worked in Sales before but when an opportunity came up I thought I’d love the challenge of something completely new and Click gave me the chance to learn and progress.
Wow, that sounds completely out of your comfort zone!
It was, none of us knew how I would take to it, including me! 4 years on though, I am glad they gave me the opportunity to join the team, I love it. I am always wanting to progress and expand my horizons.
What do you love most about working in Sales?
I love the challenge. And I love it’s always different every day, every conversation is different.
It’s like an adrenaline rush. When you are at the top of a rollercoaster and the adrenaline pumps, then when you drop it becomes fun, the calls are the same. The thrill of pitching then when you sell it to the client, it becomes this fun ride.
You mentioned coasters there, are you an adrenaline junkie?
Completely! I love theme parks, bungee jumping…I’m doing a skydive for charity in February.
However, other than I am a total 50-year-old with my hobbies!
What is your favourite coaster?
The coaster in Ferrari Land at Portaventura (Red Force), literally lasts 15 seconds but it’s like 90 degrees up and back down. It is so good.
Tell us more about your skydive?!
I have always wanted to do a skydive and I was talking to my friend Sarah who has Cystic Fibrosis and I decided to do one next year to raise money for a Cystic Fibrosis charity.
She has suffered all her life with it and has been quite ill recently so it is very close to my heart. I aimed to raise £500 and have already gone over that and my skydive isn’t until February!
Good luck with that, Em!
So your alternate personality of a 50 year old, what makes you that age?
I love arts and crafts and my favourite shop in the world is Hobbycraft.
I can spend 8 hours doing a puzzle. I find them so relaxing and anything fiddly, crocheting and cross stitch, even baking. And DIY too, anything that keeps my hands busy!
What’s your favourite thing about Click?
The opportunities Click Dealer gives and the career progression. They have faith in their employees and allow them to grow and spread their wings.
