Meet The Clickers – Jay

In the latest meet the clicker we have a chat to Jay from the Customer Care team and find out more about his role at Click Dealer and what he likes to do outside of work.

What do you do at Click?

I work in the customer care team handling day to day calls from dealers. There is never a day the same, it’s always different. You never know what is going to come through.

On a day to day basis, what does your role look like?

So, as well as answering calls and emails some of us also have a more specialised area, mine is GDPR stuff, so I deal with that too day to day.

Tell us about the charity committee you have been part of recently

Last year I was part of the social committee (organising fun activities for the clickers) and yeah I recently jumped into doing the charity committee. I loved helping set up the family fun day and football match, that was totally up my street.

Are you a football fan then?

Yeah 100%, I love playing it, I am a goalie, and I used to run a football team.

I played in the charity football match too, it was 2-1 at half time but Evolution had double the players of us. We couldn’t make many subs so most people had to play the whole game. If we had a few more fit players that weren’t injured…we might have been alright! (The match ended 9-2)

Rematch on the cards with that one I think!

Yeah, we are going to try and make it a yearly thing, it’s great for bonding.

What do you like to do outside of click?

Football, Xbox and, at the moment, I am really into Warhammer. It’s an expensive hobby but I love it, gets me focussed on one thing. With the price of them, you don’t want to mess them up!

I’ve really got into Dungeons and Dragons as well over the last year or so.

Oh wow, tell me more

I’ve been part of a few campaigns, I’m doing another one with a few clickers too which is great. I love it. The easiest way to describe it is acting with maths. It can be quite intense and involves some strategy sometimes but I love it. I am still collecting dice for it too, can never have enough!

What is your favourite thing about Click?

The people, everyone is just nice, it’s very strange! You just get on with everyone, I’ve never been anywhere like it and I know everyone says it but we really are like a family.
