We’re delighted to announce the permanent appointment of Matt Perry as Chief Technical Officer
Matt joined ClickDealer on a consultancy basis in October 2020 as interim CTO, to help advise on future digital transformation projects and provide guidance around the ongoing tech strategy. He has now joined the team on a permanent basis as a key member of the senior management team.
ClickDealer supports over 1,500 used vehicle dealerships, delivering a one-stop-shop for their digital needs – including websites, an award-winning dealer management system including invoicing & financing integration and making tax digital solutions, innovative click & collect/ click & delivery tools and more. Click’s technological solutions are developed with the aim of helping every dealer buy and sell vehicles, more profitably, more often. Over £4 billion worth of used vehicles were sold by dealers using Click’s DMS in 2020.
Matt’s role as CTO will be to drive and deliver ClickDealer’s digital transformation project and ongoing strategy – developing innovative applications, confirming resilience and robustness, identifying and building data driven solutions, and ensuring Click stay at the very forefront of digital technology for used car and van dealers. He will also be managing Click’s inhouse tech team, developing on-going training plans and supporting technical progression and career development.
Matt, CTO, said: “Click is a big player in the digital automotive world, so I was excited to work with them on a consultancy basis. However, it was the culture and family environment of Click, including the way the company have operated during COVID, that sealed the deal for me coming on board full time – it’s a company I can see myself working at for the next 20 years.
“The tech team have a lot going on over the next six months as well as a larger strategy scoped out for the next 3-5 years – we are already well underway with 2021’s ambitious plans. The wealth of data we have available on how the used vehicle market is progressing and developing, along with close customer communication, is the driving force behind some of the new innovations and solutions we’ll be delivering to further support new and existing dealers.”
Matt brings a wealth of experience with him – having previously set up his own IT business before going on to work as a consultant for a number of companies including: Bet 365; Ticketmaster supporting the 2015 Rugby World Cup; a North West based social housing association on their cloud based transformation; as well as a senior technical architect role for Fujitsu, one of the world’s largest IT companies, were he supported the Post Office, large UK retail clients and major public sector cloud projects to deliver highly resilient 24/7 zero downtime solutions.
