Meet the Clickers – Charlotte Barber

For our final instalment of September and episode 42, we have Customer Care Advisor Charlotte!

She took the time to let us know about everything from Power to microwaved toast!

Could you explain to us how you first arrived at Click?

I saw Pippa Rawlinson had advertised a job on Facebook, so I messaged her and enquired about it. She got back to me and let me know that the job was for a car dealership, but also let me know that there were jobs going at Click and asked if I’d be interested. I had an interview with my manager Kate, and an hour or so after my interview I received a call to say I’d got the job and the rest is history!

So, what does your job entail at Click?

When I first started at Click in November 2017 my role was to contact our new dealerships, to find out how their first month or so had been since going live. While doing this, I was also helping Ben Wood out with stock copy which involved me copying dealer’s stock from various websites and adding them on to our system for when they go live.

I am now in Customer Care which involves me answering incoming phone calls and helping the dealers with any issues or queries they have within the DMS system.

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?

I think it’d be my makeup, I love doing it and I never leave the house without some with me!

Why couldn’t you watch Fantastic 4?

Because I didn’t watch 1,2 or 3… Who told you about that!

What’s the first thing you’d buy if you won the lottery?

I’d love to go to Africa and have a tour around the different countries and go on safari. I’d definitely buy a huge 5/6-bedroom house down in Cornwall I’ve always wanted to move down there, it’s beautiful!

I love having friends and family around and entertaining, so a big house would be great. I’d also buy a villa abroad, so we could just go anytime! I love the sun, you can’t beat sitting around a pool with a beverage!

What’s the best joke you’ve heard?

Ooh that’s a tricky one… Only because it takes me a while to actually get ‘the joke’, it usually ends up being long winded for me as someone has to explain what it actually means! So, the joke is usually at my expense!

You need to get yourself down to Joke Spot! Who is your favourite celebrity and why?

I really like Dwayne Johnson! He’s great in every movie I’ve seen him in and he just seems like a nice guy.

Is it true you once tried to make toast in the microwave?

It is true but it’s not really my fault! My Mum and Dad were moving to a new house and my little sisters asked if I could make them breakfast. They asked for toast, so I first tried to light the grill; unfortunately, I didn’t realise the grill was electric… So, when that didn’t work I just thought I’d stick it in the microwave and put some butter on… Not my finest hour.

I’m not sure which part of that story is worse… What TV series should everyone watch?

I absolutely love Power! I’m completely hooked! It seems everyone I speak to is just as addicted as me, we just need Season 6 now!

A lot of people have said, I’ll have to watch it soon! What do you enjoy most about working at Click?

I bet it’s getting repetitive for you now! But it’s the people, everyone is so lovely, and it feels like one big family. Gerry, Ollie and Pippa all care so much about each and every one of us and make life at work fun!

We’re more than a number to them, it’s easy to see how much they value us. I’d recommend Click Dealer to anyone.
